Which method is suitable for which material?

There are two different procedures:
The Pure waterjet method and the Abrasive waterjet method.

• Pure waterjet method

  With pure water materials are worked on sensitive or softy.
  For the following materials the pure waterjet method is suitable:

  • Food
  • Paper
  • Thermoplastics
  • Rubber
  • Textiles
  • Elastomers
  • Fibrous materials
  • Thin plastics

• Abrasive waterjet method

  For the treatment of compact, hard materials a fineAbrasive is added the water.
  For the following materials the Abrasive water jet cutting is appropriate:

  • Marble and stone
  • Glass
  • Ceramics
  • Composite materials
  • High-grade steel
  • Titanium
  • Aluminium

With both procedures KARODUR starts 2D-and 3D-software, and the following CAD formats (DXF, DWG, IGES, STEP etc.) can be converted for our use.
